TEBADEM collagen matrix dressing of treetta is an advanced dressing product resembling human skin. This product has collagen biopolymers that manage the humidity at the site of the wound to ensure optimal healing. TEBADEM uses the most advanced scientific discoveries in the area. Compared to usual wound dressing products, TEBADEM Collagen Matrix Dressing has a higher efficacy in wound healing, shorter healing time, and more reasonable pricing. This product uses natural biodegradable and biocompatible polymers that resemble the extra-cellular matrix. TEBADEM also stimulates the healing processes at the site of injury. TEBADEM Collagen Matrix Dressing qualities go beyond a usual hydrogel dressing and provide a unique and advanced means of wound healing.
TEBADEM Collagen Matrix Dressing features:
Inducing the production of extra-cellular matrix proteins
and accelerating the epithelialization process
For a wound to heal well, there should be a balance between the granulation tissue formation and the destruction and removal of necrotic tissues. In chronic wounds, the balance is not present due to the over-activity of metalloproteinase enzymes, which shift the process towards decadence rather than reconstruction. The role of growth factors and sufficient blood supply at the healing site is vital for cell division and the development of novel tissue. TEBADEM provides a suitable environment that ensures maximum longevity of cellular growth factors. It also induces the production of extra-cellular matrix proteins, including collagen.
Improving the autolytic debridement process
Debridement techniques are methods used to remove necrotic tissues from the injury site. One of the best debridement techniques is autolytic debridement. In autolytic debridement, natural enzymes selectively deconstruct the necrotic tissues and remove them from the healing area. It does not require any external manipulation, and due to the specificity of these enzymes, they spare healthy tissues. Therefore, improving autolytic debridement is an optimal way to remove necrotic tissue from the site and make room for granulation tissue to develop and mature. TEBADEM improves autolytic debridement due to its polymeric structure. Also, because of its unique humidity management capabilities, TEBADEM makes an optimal environment for autolytic enzymes.
Optimal management of wound exudate
We designed the 3D structure of TEBADEM to use the osmosis principles to manage wound exudate and provide conditions similar to the skin environments. This process improves the quality of healing and minimizes scar tissue.
Improving the angiogenesis
One of the main obstacles facing the healing process of chronic wounds is the lack of adequate blood supply. This issue leads to a lack of oxygen and nutrients delivered to the cells and an accumulation of waste products at the injury site, drastically slowing the healing process. TEBADEM provides a fitting 3D structure for angiogenesis, and due to its polymeric components, it can protect the growth factors at the injury site to improve angiogenesis and cell division processes.
Hydrating the wound surface
Due to the intrinsic humidity of TEBADEM, it provides a constant humid condition at the wound site and protects the developing granulation tissue that is forming underneath. Applying the TEBADEM on the wound provides a fresh and pleasant feeling for the patient. TEBADEM hydrates the surrounding tissues minimizing the damage to cellular complements and reducing the bradykinin concentration, leading to significant pain relief at the injury site.
Antimicrobial effects
Infection is the number one threat to the wound-healing process. The biopolymeric components of TEBADEM have positive charges and utilize electrostatic attachments to the negatively charged membrane of pathogenic microorganisms to disrupt its function. This feature ensures no infectious process after applying TEBADEM on a granulating tissue.
TEBADEM Collagen Matrix Dressing indications:
- Diabetic wounds
- Pressure ulcer (such as bedsore)
- 1st and 2nd degree burns
- venous ulcers
- Surgical wounds
- Traumatic wounds
- Acute and chronic wounds
- Different lacerations and abrasions
How to use TEBADERM
- Clean the wound with an antiseptic solution or a washing serum (normal saline).
- Use a sterile scissor to cut a piece of TEBADERM equal to the wound surface.
- Place the dressing piece for 3 minutes inside a washing serum (normal saline) or TEBASEPT solution.
- Apply the TEBADERM dressing on the wound, covering the entirety of the wound bed.
- Dip a sterile gauze into some washing serum and place it on the TEBADERM.
- Finally, cover the wound with a simple bandage.
For changing the dressing, first, remove the secondary bandage. Then pour some washing serum (normal saline) on TEBADERM, then remove it from the wound. Additionally, do not cover the secondary bandage fully with tape.
The period between the changes depends on the amount of discharge from the wound. But TEBADERM can stay on for 24 to 72 hours.
